Petaloo and Unity match!

It's my turn today on the Petaloo blog.  We have teamed up with Unity stamps this time, which of course I LOVE!!!  I have lots of their beautiful stamps, and I decided to work with one of their Donna Downey designed stamp sets called Imperfection is Beauty.  Truly love the sentiments in this set! And what better flowers to pair up these pretty stamps, than Petaloo's Color Me Crazy Paintable flowers, so that is just what I did.  Here is my pretty card.

For my card shape I used Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four dies and Heidi Swap Vintage Chic papers.  I stamped the large flower from the stamp set on the background of my focal panel.  I sprayed my gorgeous Color Me Crazy Wild Roses with Heidi Swap's Color Shine sprays.  I didn't spray them all the way, as I kind of wanted the white to come through still, since I was going for more of a shabby chic look.  The simple reason why I love the Color Me Crazy Paintable flowers is that I have control of how I want my flowers to look.

Once I was done with spraying my flowers I worked with the super adorable Birdhouse chipboard, which I painted with white paint to match the shabby chic look and added a white rose brad on the top hole.  It was just a perfect little touch, I thought.  I also added a white lace trim to go with my card.  As a final touch I added a pretty seaside color Darjeeling Butterfly.

Hope you enjoyed this little card. Thanks for visiting!!

Happy Mother's day!!!

I am popping in just to say a very happy Mother's Day to you all Mom's out there!  Wishing you all to be spoiled on your special day.  Hope you get lots of pamperings as you deserve!

A few weeks ago I was guest designing for Authentique, which I am so grateful for and since all my work was geared toward Mother's Day, I thought it would be perfect to share them all today on my blog as well.  All the cards were created with their Grace collection, which I loved working with and a lot of Spellbinders and My Favorite Things dies and Petaloo flowers.  So, sit back and enjoy these pretty cards.

Finally I thought I would share a picture of my parents and I, when I was little.  They both have been gone a few years now, but I sure remember them every day.  Mom, Happy Mother's day to you, wherever you are!  Miss you and Love you!

Wishing you all a beautiful day!

Petaloo and Heidi Swapp: New Journey layout

It's not too often that I dabble into creating layouts, but as soon as I saw the Heidi Swapp Vintage Chich collection I was drawn to create a layout.  With a recent change in my career I had a perfect opportunity to create a layout with my newest pictures. So I went to town to create.  I used Petaloo's Color Me Crazy flowers, which I LOVE so many ways, as I love to alter the colors of them.

With Heidi's Color Shine Sprays I painted up a lot of pretty Color Me Crazy flowers and just layered them all over my layout.

Next I used my other favorite from the Color Me Crazy Collection, which is the Chipboards.  I painted it with white paint to achieve the look I wanted and added some of the stickers from Heidi Swap's Vintage Vintage Chich Collection.

I loved Heidi's stamps, so I used them all over my layout and even used her little journalin spot stamp.  By the way to color my gorgeous Color Me Crazy flowers I used the following Color Shine Sprays: Primrose, Chartreuse, Mint Green, Tropicana Teal, Gold, Bronzer and Black.

I also used the Chipboard Keyholes, which once again I painted with white paint.  I also sprayed Heidi's Chipboard Alphas with Resist with her Color Shines.  It's such a fun part of her collection.

As a final touch I added some gesso to my flowers and also the paper to make it look more vintage.  Hope you like it.

And here is the list of the Petaloo items I used to create this layout.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a fabulous day!

JustRite Papercrafts May Release Day 6!

Well, can you believe today is the last day of JustRite Papercrafts May Release days?  Hope you love the new stamps and enjoyed what our design team came up with!

Today we are sharing Becca Feeken's new stamps and I am showcasing one of them with you, which is called Filigree Journal Covers.  It's such a pretty set, as you can create different type of journal covers with it.

I bought a notebook from Michaels, which is about 5"x6.5", and altered it.  First I painted it with gesso using a foam brush, which left some cool texture on it, so I didn't mind it.  Once the gesso dried I painted it with Gelatos.  I mixed a few colors together, but I was going for the lilac look with a little bit of distressed look, which I think I achieved.

I stamped my label stamp onto Spellbinders Labels One die with glitter embossing powder and stamped the title of the journal in with Memento ink.  The flower is from Becca's earlier kit club, but I decided to use it as it went well together.  I also added some pretty Prima bling and Spellbinders Flourish Trim, which I LOVE.

Here is what this pretty stamp looks like.

Thank you so much for coming by and taking a peek all week, I really appreciate that.  Hope you enjoyed each day's inspiration and don't forget to check out what my fabulously talented design team mates made for today!  Here are the participating ladies today.

Have a beautiful day!!!

JustRite Papercrafts May Release Day 5!

Welcome back to day 5 of JustRite Papercrafts May Release!  Hope you are having fun seeing all the new releases!!  I know, I have had tons of fun creating with them!

Today we are releasing Samantha Walker's newest JustRite Papercrafts stamps, which I adore in so many ways.  My first card is created with her All Boy Stamp set, which I paired up with her Spellbinders Nautical Accents dies.  I used Ranger Distress inks to create the background and also my die cuts.

My sentiment was embossed with a black glittered embossing powder and added some more Stickles on my waves and clouds.  It's a cute little card.

My second card is also created with her All Boy stamp set, however the background was created with her Pattern Basics stamp set, which I know you will want.  It is awesome for CAS stamping, or not so CAS stamping....LOL.  You can use it so many ways.  I decided to emboss each strip with different colors and since I still love the chalkboard look, I made my sentiment with that look.

I stamped my sentiments onto Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Eight and I added Decorative Labels One in red card stock, which I cut in half and put it on the sides.  It's fun to play with dies.

Love that sentiment, don't you?  Finally I added a pretty seam binding ribbon and some pearls.

Here is the All Boy stamp set, which you will love!

And here is the Pattern Basics, which you can use so many ways...just love it!

And just as the other days, our design team has been busy, so make sure you check out what they have waiting for you.  Here are the participating ladies today.

Thanks for visiting again today and hope you stop by tomorrow, too.  Till than, have a great day!

JustRite Papercrafts May Release Day 4!

Hi again, welcome back to JustRite Papercrafts' day 4 of their May Release!  Thank you for coming back each day to check out our projects.

Today I have a very masculine tag for you made with a couple of brand new stamps.  This is sort of a Tim Holtz style tag, at least that is what I call it...LOL

The first thing I did is stamp The Journey Background Stamp with Versamark ink pad and embossed it with white embossing powder.  Than I went to town and colored the tag with Ranger Distress inks...  I stamped more of the images and colored them in with distress inks.  I stamped the words, cut them into strips and distressed the edges.  My focal point is the vintage car image, which I embossed with a bronze embossing powder.

As final touches I added some Petaloo Penny Lane flowers and their Chipboard Gears, which I embossed with black glitter embossing powder.  And of course I had to add leaves, which are Spellbinders Foliage Two dies.

Here is The Journey Background Stamp.

And here is Explore Vintage Labels Four stamps

And once again, make sure you hop over to my design team mates' blogs..they have so many amazing things waiting for you.  Here is the list of the ladies participating today.

Happy Mother's Day!!

I have been making quite a few Mother's Day cards lately and as soon as I saw the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss line, along with the Petaloo Penny Lane Collection, I knew I was going to have a fun time creating my project!  I love the color palette of this collection so much, I don't even know where to start telling you about that, so instead, let me just show you what I mean.

For my card I used the 12x12 papers from the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss line and of course a lot of pretty Penny Lane flowers, which coordinated perfectly with the papers.  They are a perfect match!

Do you see the cute banner?  That's from the Vintage Bliss cardstock stickers that are just too cute.  Before I glued them down I adhered them to white cardstock and cut around them with tiny scallop scissors.

My card is full of banners, as you can see....I just love them!  I tied our beige trim around the big banner with twine and added a little flower on top of it to sweeten it up.  And of course I had to add some hat pins!

Finally I added a cluster of pretty Penny Lane flowers to my banner..I just love this line!  I die cut some leaves and flourishes using Spellbinders dies from the Vintage Bliss papers and added them to my flowers.

And here is the list of the Petaloo products I used to create this little card.

Forget me Nots x 16 - Soft Pink
Forget me Nots x 16 - Antique Gold
Ruffled Roses x 4 - Pink
Trim Asst - Shades of Beige
Accessories - Beaded Hat Pins x 6 - Brown/Green

Thanks for visiting and have a beautiful day!
