Embellish it Sunday!

Today is Sunday so it' time to show you what I created with products from Embellish It Online store. They just got in some new Cuttlebug folders, so I picked up a couple of them earlier this week along with some of the very yummy Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly line and the mailman delivered them just in time so I can make a card. Yaaaaaa...love a good timing!!!

Those two products go perfect, so I made this cute little card using them, which I had a ton of fun with! Somehow this week, my mojo was not too present, but I am glad it showed up while I was creating this card...hehehe...at least I think it was....what do you think????

Supplies used to make this card:

Cardstock: Stampin Up
Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly
Cuttlebug folder: Holly Ribbons
Ink: Ranger Distress inks
Pearls: Kaisercraft
Punches: EK Success border punch (it does work ok with CS, I guess, see my post below about my complaint about this favorite punch of mine)
Ribbon and buttons from my stash
Sewing thread for stitching

Also this week it was my turn to pick a sale item, so Barb is offering an ADDITIONAL 10% OFF of her already LOW prices on all Cuttlebug from 10/15 - 10/22nd!
You know how much I love my Cuttlebug folders!!! No love lost there..hehehe.... Check out all of the images here! Combine this special with any of these listed below! Treat yourself!!

I won't be shopping, but just browsing and learning new things and spending time with my friends. Hope you all have a lovely Sunday.

Friends with FLAIR

It's Friday...Yippeee....so it's Friends with FLAIR day at Unity. I created a layout using Scrap-Mart's blog sketch that is on their blog today, so I thought I would share it on my blog, after all it's all about Unity!!!

This layout is of my lovely Michael and his friend Glenn, well, he is my friend, too, so this is perfect for today's post, as it's about friends. I took this picture in May, when he was in OC for just an afternoon, and we got to spend lunch and an afternoon with him. We went to a pretty park in Irvine, it's my favorite place around here, I used to walk around the lake there daily, when I lived there. I so miss it. Anyway, we were having so much fun and I captured a few really awesome shots of them having pure joyful moments. I hope you can see that in the picture as well. Glenn, we miss you, when are you coming to visit again???

Anyway, here is my layout.

Supplies used to make this layout:

Cardstock: Stampin Up
Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee
Stamps: Unity
Ink: Memories and Ranger Distress ink
Flowers: Prima
Pearls: Kaisercraft
Labels: Maya Road
Punches: EK Success, Martha Stewart
Alpha's: Thickers

OK, so I have a question for you ladies. Do any of you have the EK Success big scallop looking punch I used on this layout? If so, are you having problems with it??? I am on my second one and this one is getting stuck all the time, too. I was ready to throw it out on the window as it got stuck at every scallop I punched and it took forever to get it unstuck...am I the only one who is having problems, or anyone else??? Please let me know, will you????? Thanks so much!

Have a fabulous Friday! Oh, and make sure you check out the {ippity} blog today. I know Kelly put on some gorgeousness you don't want to miss!

Hugs,
Eva

Creative Cuts & More Mega Recipe Blog Hop

Welcome to the first day of the Creative Cuts & More Mega Recipe Blog Hop, which will feature the 8"x8" Treasured Family Recipes Kit. If you didn't arrive here from the amazing Sharon Harnist's blog, please hop on to the Diecutdiva blog, as you would want to start from the beginning and here is why.

We have 24 designers who have created wonderful pages to inspire you. Plus we all are sharing some of our delicious treasured family recipes. Make sure you check at the Diecutdiva Blog tomorrow for the Holiday Treats Apron Recipe Kit Blog Hop. There will also be 24 designers who are going to showcase their great creations and sharing holiday recipes. I don't know about you, but I love great recipes, so it's worth coming just for that, and not to mention you get to see what you can create with these gorgeous kits.

First of all I would like to make a disclaimer. Yes, I did receive this yummy kit for free to create with, but I wouldn't have accepted it, if I didn't enjoy working with Creative Cuts & More products, so what you see from here is my honest opinion and the pictures will speak for themselves anyway.

I only made the cover pages an two pages of it, but I plan on finishing it, as I have been wanting to put a recipe book and the Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird line is just perfect for this, which is what Creative Cuts & More created this yummy kit with! So, without further ado, here is what I came up with so far. Here is my cover page.

One of my two pages with a very yummy and very much loved by my family recipe, Snickerdoodles. Please click on the picture to see it large and you should be able to read the recipe. I make these cookies for the holidays, and some other time, too, especially, when my son is begging for them..hehehe.

My 2nd page has our favorite salmon dish, which has always received raving review from our friends and family. Again, please click on the picture to be able to read the recipe.

Items I used to make these pages:

8"x8" Treasured Family Recipes Kit by Creative Cuts & More
Stamps: Unity Stamps
Ink: Ranger Distress inks
Spellbinders
Ribbon from Fabric Barn
Buttons fro m my stash

So, what comes in the kit? Here is a picture of it, so you can see.

I really love this chipboard book, it's really thick, but perhaps you can see it better on this picture.

As part of the celebration CC&M will be having a great sale. For the next six days they are offering 20% off the entire store. But act quickly as the sale will end on Nov.14th. Make sure you enter this code: recipebloghop2009 during checkout.

As continuing part of the celebration CC&M is giving away great gifts. Each day they will give one kit away. Here is the twist - go through the blog hop, leave wonderful comments for the designers. After you have finished the hop, return to Diecutdiva and instead of leaving a comment, you need to share a recipe to have a chance at winning the kit. Share the recipe on your blog and link it back and get another chance to win the kit. Help us also make this a great recipe fun. Isn't that cool????

And now, please hop on to Noelle Reese's blog to see what gorgeous creations she has to share with you..

Well, that is all the details. Enjoy the rest of the hop!
Hugs,
Eva

I thought I would share another card today using one of the new Ippity stamps and this one is from the Straight from the Heart set. Check it out at the new Ippity OpportUNITY blog! It's another adorable set! I love trees and birdies and the sentiment was just so sweet! I will be creating a framed art with this set very soon, that I know, but for now I have a card to share.

Isn't this card just sweet? I really love those birdies!!!!

By the way, what are your thoughts about the new Ippity OpportUNITY?????? I would really love to hear your feedback. I think Unity is just amazing to come up with such a fabulous concept and why not? We all love their stamps, so we can spread Unity amongst our friends, or makes new friends, while doing it, and make some money, too. Yippie!!!!!!!

Also, Kelly and I will be doing some Ippity blogging on the new site, so what would you like to see from us? I would love to hear about that, too. :)

Can't wait to hear your thoughts! Thanks for visiting my blog and really hope you guys are enjoying this new line of stamps as much as I am!

Yippity IPPITY!!!!!!!!!!

First of all this is my second post of the day, so please scroll down to see my Caardvarks post below this post.

I can not tell you how much I have waited for today to arrive!!!! I have so much to share, so much excitement and quite a few cards on top of that, too!!!! I tell you, I have been crazy busy making cards! And still am...hehehe...

Today is the day that I get to SHOUT from the top of the hill I live on that I am officially designing for Unity's new line called ippity!!!!! I am beyond excited, as those of you who know me, or even those of you who have been visiting my blog these past few months know how much love I have for Unity. And last month I have developed even more love toward the line and the Unity peeps...how is that possible? I don't know. So, I was sharing with Angela, when she presented this offer to me that I was manifesting her invitation for me all October! I just knew I was going to stay on as a DT member, I wanted it so bad, I could taste it..hehehe. So, here I am today, making the announcement I knew would happen. Laws of attraction it's what this is about!!! It works, I can attest to that! Life is so good, very very good! :)

Anyway, you want to check out the new ippity OpportUNITY Blog, that explains what ippity is all about, all I can say is that it's an amazing Opportunity that I know a lot of ladies will be grabbing onto and rightfully so! But check out the blog for all the details! You don't want to miss out!!!

I also have a wonderful partner, who is the amazingly talented Kelly Landers, who also happens to be the current Guest Designer for Unity Stamps! Please make sure to check out her blog as she is showing more samples done with the first few kits. I am so excited to work along with her, I know we are going to collaborate on a lot of fun things to come, so please stay tuned to the ippity OpportUNITY blog! Well, we are both very excited, even talked on the phone to plan a few things. So it will be a lot of fun and will share all that fun with you all.

And now is my pleasure to share a few cards I have done the past couple of days with the brand new ippity sets! My first one is made with the set called Simply Home. I fell in love with the sentiment and I love houses, so this was so fun to work with.

My second one is with the set called Because of you. I love these lovebirds and of course the sentiment is just perfect! This card could be for Michael, although he has seen it as I always show him my creations. Oh, yeah, he said he loves the ribbon.....hehehe....my guy is a ribbon lover.

My next card is made with the set called Devoted. I really love this quote, even though I am not religious, this quote resonated with me and this set is so very pretty. I have been dying to use this sketch for so long, so finally got to use it. Altered it a little but love it.

My last card I am sharing is with the set called Kissmass and Mistletoe. It's such a fun Christmas card and I used this week's sketch from Splitcoaststampers for it. I think it turned out to be such a fun card, don't you?

There are actually 8 sets being introduced in the new line today and one of them a scrapbook set and another one is a really awesome alphabet set! You can see all the sets on the ippity OpportUNITY blog, so run over to check them out along with what this great Opportunity is about!

Well, that is all I have to share with you today....phew...lots of stuff, that is for sure. Again, thank you for visiting my blog and sure hope you enjoy what you see here and that you are just as excited about Unity's ippity line as Kelly and I are!

Hugs,
Eva

Caardvarks - Circle Cards

Today it's going to be such a very exciting day for me and I will actually have two posts going up! It's the 5th of the month and it's my 1st time to participate as a DT member in the Caardvarks Challenge blog. Whohooo...let the challenges begin!!!

So today, we are challenging you to create a circle card! I love shaped cards and the one I created I actually had a chipboard book in this petal shape, so I traced around it. I also used some yummy Glitz paper, which I received via Scrapbook News and Review, where we did a manufacturer highlight with their products! But what do you think of the images??? Pretty cute, right? Our sponsor this time is Clear and Simple Stamps. Each of the DT members got to choose a stamp set, which I am so grateful for! Thank you so much! I chose the Bday Darling stamp set, as I figured I always need Birthday cards.

To accompany my birthday card I made a gift card holder with the same line of papers and stamps.

Supplies used to make my card and gift card holder:

Cardstock: Stampin Up
Patterned Paper: Glitz
Stamps: Clear and Simple Stamps Bday Darling
Ink: Memories
Ribbon: Fabric Barn
Bling Buckle: Alex Kesh (aren't those cute??)
Punches: SU ticket corner, Fiskars Border punch
Stickles

And here are the two of them together again.

Hope you come play along with us at the Caardvarks Challenge blog! Can't wait to see your circle cards!!!

Have a lovely day! I will be back soon with another post. :) I am tickled pink to share!!!! Have been sitting on pins and needles about the news I get to share!

Hugs,
Eva

Thanksgiving card with JustRite

I have a pretty card to share with you today that is using the JustRite Stampers Autumn Blessings Borders and Centers stamp, which I love very very much and have used so many times already! I paired it up with Pink Paislee's Amber road papers, which I love as well, and my newest Martha Stewart punch. Isn't this punch just gorgeous. That Martha is killing me with her punches she is putting out there lately, but thank goodness for Michael's coupons, otherwise you need to take a loan out to have them...heheheh. Anyway, here is my card.

That is all for today. Tomorrow I will have two posts, one is my first Caardvarks challenge cards, which I am super excited to show and my second one is my BIG SECRET that I finally get to shout out about from the top of the mountain, ok, well, our hill that I live on...hehhehe....regardless, I will FINALLY be able to share about my excitement, so please come back. You will love all the eye candy I will have going on.

Have a lovely day!

Creative Cuts and More Blog Hop Day 3!

Today is the 3rd, and final day of our Creative Cuts and More Blog Hop. Sure hope you have enjoyed all the inspiration! Again, hopefully you came to visit my blog from Peet's blog, but if not, please hop on back to Caardvark's Blog, so you don't miss any of the posts!

As promised, today I have a table center piece to show you. I really loved making this. Why???? Two reasons really.

1. So easy to create!
2. So pretty!

Good enough reasons, right? Again, all the diecuts are so easy to work with from Creative Cuts and More! So, here is my Christmas table center piece, which is made with the Sleigh die cut.

All I did was dry emboss the die cut, ink it up with my Ranger Distress ink and added a pretty trim and finally filled my little sleigh with christmas trimmings I picked up at Michaels for around $2.00. So, this whole center piece would cost you only around $3.00, is that a great deal in today's economy, or what???? I'd say it sure is! You can even make these and give them away as a gift!

Hope you have been inspired by our Creative Cuts and More Blog Hop. Don't forget to comment as you remember these are the prizes:

Fall Card Kit
CCM $25 Gift Card

*Also a 15% Shopping Discount for our readers. Enter holidayhop2009 at checkout.
Discount good from November 1st - 4th.

And now, please hop on over to Michelle's blog to see her fabulous project!!

Thanks for visiting my blog and have a fabulous day! I will be back Thursday with my first official Caardvarks challenge, so stay tuned! Who knows, I might be announcing something else that day, too...but shhhhhhhhhhh....I can't tell....hehehe.

Creative Cuts and More Blog Hop Day 2

Today is the 2nd day of our Creative Cuts and More Blog Hop. So hopefully you came to visit my blog from Peet's blog, but if not, please hop on back to Caardvark's Blog, so you can see the list of bloggers involved in the hop. You don't want to miss out on all the great inspiration, I am sure!!!

So today, we are showing you pretty packaging made with die cuts received from Creative Cuts and More. I also made a little extra item, as I wanted to have something in my packaging, too...hehehe.

I got the Christmas Ornament made of Polyshrink and I made a necklace pendant out of it. How is that for you????Hehehe.... I shrunk my Christmas ornament and finally colored it in with Alcohol inks and edged it with Gold leaf pen to add a pretty finish. And here is what I came up with.

What do you think?????

And my packaging is actually the Matchbox diecut, which I decorated with gorgeous lace, Cuttlebug diecut and pretty Kaisercraft pearls. I really love the way it turned out, and sure hope you like it, too.

Finally, here is the gift along with the packaging.

So now, please hop on over to Michelle's blog and see what gorgeous creation she has for you!

Have a fabulous day and don't forget to check back tomorrow on our final day of the Blog Hop. It will be our grand finale and I will be showing you pretty a table center piece!

CAARDVARKS!!! - Creative Cuts and More Blog Hop

Boy, oh boy, two sweet announcements today, please check out my first post of the day to read about my Guest Design spot at Embellish It Online as well.

Hopefully you have arrived on my blog from the amazingly talented Peet's blog, however if not, please go back to Caardvarks to start the hop at.

Finally I can shout out that I made the Caardvarks New Design Team!!!! I have known about this for a while thanks to Jenyfur's invite, so you can only imagine how tough this must have been not to tell everyone...hehehe. There is another secret I am holding onto, that is ready to burst out of me, but have to hold it back, but soon, very soon, I will get to talk about that, too.

Anyway, take a look at the new Design Team at Caardvarks!!! I am so very honored to be amongst these amazingly talented ladies, seriously, have you seen these ladies work??? I am sure you have, as they are all incredible designers, so I am just tickled pink, jumping up and down happy to be amongst them...hehehe.

So, our first order of business is a 3 day blog hop for Creative Cuts and More. I love Terry's diecuts, I have worked with them quite a bit and one thing I can say about them is that they are so super easy to work with. The boxes are all pre-scored ready to go, so they are so easy to put together. Here is what you will get to see the next three days during the blog hop:

Nov. 1st - Day One: Holiday Cards
Nov. 2nd - Day Two: Pretty Packaging
Nov. 3rd - Day Three: Home Decor Item, Table Centerpiece OR Ornament

So, today, I am sharing my Christmas card with you, which uses the Arch Window card. I have to say, this was such a fun card to make. I found this little stamp by Stampendous, which I colored in with Ranger Distress inks. My sentiment is JustRite stamps, which I love, love, love. I also used quite a bit of Spellbinders on this card, although the trees were cut with my friend Liz's dies, as I don't own them(thank you Liz, if you are reading this...hehehe). Anyway, I think this card could be even a decoration itself. I love the way it turned out.

And what's a blog hop without prizes??? So here is what some lucky winners can get by commenting on the blog posts.

Prizes

Fall Card Kit
CCM $25 Gift Card

*Also a 15% Shopping Discount for our readers. Enter holidayhop2009 at checkout.

Unity SCARY 31 HALLOWEEN sale!!!

A usual, if you haven't arrived here from Angela's Unity blog, please hop on over to see all the specials and all the excitement and to see what the other DT members made with Unity goodies.

This is my last post as Guest Designer for Unity, and I can not tell you how much fun I had. During this month I created 13 cards and a layout for Unity, not to mention I have some more creations that are for Scrapbook News and Review and I just can't share them on my blog. So you could say I have been a little creating machine, but I have loved every minute of it!!! :)

I want to thank Angela for inviting me as the Guest Designer, AJ for holding my hand all the way through the month and also the wonderful DT members, who welcomed me so warmly to their little group. I LOVED every minute of my month spent with you guys!!!!! I have so much love for Unity and their peeps and also have to mention the love I have for all the ladies who came to comment on my Unity posts!!!! WOW is all I have to say! I wish I could send each and one of you a card of mine!! I do hope I inspired some of you to get your hands on some Unity and perhaps even to try a few little tricks of stamping. Each and one of your comments made me feel that the time I spent creating my cards were so worthy! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! Sniff, sniff...ok, I am getting a little emotional here. Oh, and since I am thanking everyone, I have to mention my husband..so I want to thank Michael for letting me create anytime I wanted to and not complain about it...thank you babe for understanding that I need to create to keep me sane...hehehehe. Ok, I am going to step off the podium now...hehehe

So as my final cards today I have two to share with you. As you have seen on Angela's blog, there are some amazing sets being released for a few days only and I got to play with some of the images, and boy did I ever have fun! In fact I NEED these stamps!!!! :) The first card is so dear to me. I spent quite a bit of time dolling it up...hehehe...but here it is, take a looksie.

This is yet my newest favorite card, I have to say. It's simply adorable! Well, it is to me anyway... I will have a hard time parting with it. This past weekend my friend, Karen and I went to Michael's and found these cute animal print ribbons and than we found a couple of awesome flocked animal print papers from Anna Griffin, and when I saw this girl, I knew what I was going to create with her! And the rest is history..hehehe.

Ok, and my second card is a sweet, sweet card. I love these images as well, and my spellbinders were aching to be used with them, not to mention that the image needed to be colored, which I love nowadays...love this little image and sentiment..soo sweet.

This card uses an older K&CO paper, and I love the way it turned out.

Anyway, hope you get a chance to buy few of these new stamps...I know I want some...Unity just keeps on getting better and better. I love the designs they keep coming up with. They are so easy to design my cards with. I loved my Unity month and will keep on creating with their stamps, so you will see a lot more cards made with them, that is a promise. In fact, I will have another one for tomorrow. :)

Thank you again for visiting my blog and wishing you a lovely day in UNITY!
Hugs,
Eva

Crazy for Daisies - Unity

Today is a Unity Day!!!! So, if you didn't come here from Angela's Unity blog, please hop on over, as there are some more eye candies to check out.
Every month Unity offers an incentive kit, if you become their kit club member. This month the new members received Crazy for Daisies, if they signed up for the kit club starting the October Kit of the month. Let me tell you, these are not itty bitty flowers!!! But take a look at them yourself. Aren't these so pretty???

I made a little flower pot card with them, which I thought was just perfect to make with these pretty flowers.

If you like this card, there is a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers on how to make this, so make sure to check it out, if you would like to make it.

I hope you enjoy this card. There is much more excitement coming up tomorrow, so please come back to visit. It involves some brand spanking new Unity rubba....it can't get much better than that...hehehe.

Have a lovely Wednesday!!
Hugs,
Eva

I am finally AWAKE!!!

Hehehe...so, as I posted Friday, I went to a weekend scrapbook retreat. It's called the Scrapretreat House and is owned by my sweet online (and finally IRL) friend Christine. We started our friendship through our blogs last year, then we were both DT members on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog. We were suppose to meet at CHA last January, but for some reason that wasn't in the books, but finally we met this past weekend and she is every bit of the sweet person in real life as well, just like I imagined. My other sweet friend Karen and I had the chance to spend the weekend at her place along with 10 other ladies and we created all weekend, just played with so many things. Not to mention that we got to use Christine's tools. She has an Accucut die cut machine and the best dies, in fact we had to run to Michael's and get some more cardstock so we can use her die cuts...hehehe. Anyway, if you are looking for a weekend scrappy getaway, do take a look at her place, she has a special running till the end of the year and it's just $99 for the whole weekend!!! Talk about amazing deal! It's a gorgeous house full of scrappy tools and you get to see her gorgeous creations, too. We also did a hand made flower swap between the 3 of us and wow, I love the flowers these beautiful ladies came up with...sooo gorgeous. You will see them on my future projects, that I know!

Now, this weekend we really let ourselves go, no makeup, no hairdo, in fact we even showered at the end of the day, so we have no pictures of us, however I have one picture of the room we all scrapped in and I took this when everyone was still sleeping in the morning. Yeah, Karen and I got like 8 hours of sleep the whole weekend...hehehe...we were heavy duty scrappers...hehehe. Anyway, here is the picture, so you get the feel of what we got to experience.

We sure had fun and can't wait to do it all over again!!!!

I do have a Unity card to share with you, which Angela posted on the Unity blog yesterday, but I was still half dead, so didn't get to post it on my blog, but here it is. I made it with the Unity Oct. KOM...the sock monkey is so cute, isn't it? Oh and the scallop square shape is one of Christine's die cuts...LOVE IT!!!

That is all I have for today. Hope you are having a lovely week!

Hugs,
Eva

Unity Friends with FLAIR

I have a little card to share with you. This will be a very quick post, but I made this card, so I thought I would post it.

I used Graphic 45 papers for this card and of course Unity stamps. Have been wanting to use this stamp for a while, so I finally got to.

Anyway, I am on my way to a weekend scrap retreat. I have been waiting for this day for such a looong time. I get to meet THE very talented Christine FINALLY, hang out with my wonderful and talented "twin sister" Karen and a few other special ladies!!! I will take pictures and probably post over the weekend, as I am taking my laptop and camera, so come back to check here. We are going to stamp our hearts out and play with different techniques.

Well, have a lovely day and weekend!
Hugs,
Eva
