Cheery Lynn Designs: Thank You card

Hi there, I am here today posting my first official post on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog.  It brings me the joy to share a thank you card purely made with beautiful Cheery Lynn dies.  I can never create enough thank you cards as there is always so much to be thankful for.

I really enjoyed making this card with all the pretty dies.  To create my card I cut an A2 size card base using cream card stock.  I die cut the largest Deutschland Boutique Stacker out of Prima patterned paper, and layered it on top of the card front.

Than I die cut a smaller Deutschland Boutique Stacker out of another Prima patterned paper and cut off the edges to a rectangle to fit in the middle of the larger stacker and backed it up with red patterned paper, so it can show through the pretty doily stacker.

I die cut the larger heart out the Two of Hearts dies out of Prima patterned paper and also die cut the word Thank you out of gold foil card stock and layered it on top of the heart die.  Finally I die cut a butterfly using one of the Small Exotic Butterflies #2 and die cut it's wing to contrast with it and added an orange color pearl in the middle.

Thank you for stopping by to see my post today and good luck to everyone entering our weekly challenge!

Announcement: Cheery Lynn Designs!

Happy Monday to you all!  Hope you all had a lovely weekend!  We are having beautiful days in my neck of the wood, and I am so grateful for that.  I am here today with an exciting announcement!

The past year or so I've cut down on design team commitments, but I've always been fond of dies and specifically the Cheery Lynn Designs dies.  So this time around I decided to try out for their design team and to my joy I have been invited to join this amazing team!  I couldn't be any happier at the moment as I am typing this post...I am really grateful for this opportunity!

Anyway, to celebrate the occasion, I have a celebration card, which is this week's Cheery Lynn Designs challenge theme and if you are not playing along yet in the challenges, I urge to check them out and definitely play along.  You could win a gift card to get some Cheery Lynn Designs dies.  How fun is that!!!  Anyway here is the card I made.

To start out my card I die cut the card base using Card Maker Rectangle Scalloped - CM-2, which I layered with a rectangle shaped layer.  I die cut a the gorgeous Mirror Mirror Doily Frame using white card stock and edged it with light blue ink.  Then I die cut the middle part of the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame out of white card stock and the oval part out of the teal card stock, to show it off.  I popped those on top of the gorgeous large doily die cut.

Next I started making my flowers and I used these flower dies for them.

I die cut all my flowers and leaves out of water color paper and painted them with water colors to get the look I wanted.  Once my flowers dried I glued them together using a glue gun and added them to my beautiful doily frame. I also added the pretty flourish to it which I die cut out of green card stock.

As a final touch I added my sentiment, which is a JustRite Papercrafts stamp called Graceful Sentiments and I embossed it onto Horizon Fishtail Banners die.

Here is another look of the card and you can see how beautiful these flowers are.

Here are the list of the Cheery Lynn Designs dies I used to create this card:

JustRite Papercraft: Enjoy Good Times

Hello again.  Welcome back to day three of our JustRite Papercraft's March release.  Today we have a fun frame with sentiments that fit right into it and I have two versions to show you.

The sets that I am using today are called A2 Woodgrain Upcycled Frame Background stamp and it's perfect for an A2 size card.  The sentiments are called Stacking Sentiments Clear stamps and you will see how much use you can get out of this great set.

My first card is more of a shabby feminine card.  I embossed my frame with a gold embossing powder onto water color paper and using Spectrum Aqua Markers I painted it in.  I stamped my sentiments in the middle.  It's just really perfectly framing the sentiments.  Than I added pretty Cheery Lynn dies to it and here are the dies I used

My next card I intended to make into a masculine card, but for some reason my brain wouldn't let me once I added some paint to it...LOL.  On this one I added Prima flower and a Fanciful Flourish Cheery Lynn die, which I cut out of gold foil paper.

Here is what the Stacking Sentiments clear stamp set looks like.

And before I go, we have a new promotion just for you on some JustRite Papercraft goodies, just in time to pick up some goodies.

Hope you enjoyed these cards and now it's time to check out what the rest of my super talented design team members created.

Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day!

JustRite Papercraft: Coffee House

Hello and happy Wednesday!  I am back with a new JustRite Papercraft release March release card.  Have you had your cup of coffee yet????  Well, get ready to have some, just in case you haven't...LOL

Today we release an amazingly fun set that everyone will love and use a LOT.  It's called Coffee House Clear stamp set!  Here is what I made with it.

I used a kraft color card stock and stamped the coffee rings on it.  Than die cut a pretty doily using Prima doily die out of a turquoise color card stock.  I stamped my coffee cup onto white card stock and cut it out.  I stamped it one more time using red ink and cut out part of it and I stamped the sentiment on it and paper pieced it onto the cup.  Finally I die cut a banner using a  My Favorite Things Die-namics and embossed the sentiment onto it using brown embossing powder.

Here is what the Coffee House Clear Stamp set looks like.

And now it's time for you to check out what my fellow design team mates have created with this fun set.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

JustRite Papercraft: Wild Romantic Roses

Hi there....let the JustRite Papercraft March release begin!  We are starting off with gorgeous flowers and I have a couple of projects I created with them.

This brand new set's name is Wild Romantic Roses.  My first project is an 8x10 gesso board.  It was my first time working with it and wow...this is what stampers need to create wall art with.  Canvas just doesn't do it, but this one does.  So I stamped my little heart out...LOL

So to start out my wall art I stamped my flowers with ink and in this case I used Stampin Up inks as they are great for multi step stamping and I sure had a little fun with them.  Than I used a Tim Holtz stencil and spread molding paste over it. Once it dried I added green ink on it to make it pop.

I wanted to use this as a wall art, so I thought it would be fun to have a pretty sentiment with it.  I hand drew the sentiment and painted it in with Aqua Watercolor markers, which happens to be on sale right now at the JustRite Papercraft shop.

Finally I watercolored the whole board and added a pretty butterfly die, which is also by Stampin Up and die cut it with gold foil paper.

My next project is a card and this time I used a new to me Spellbinders die called Bow Elegance Dies.  My sentiment came from the Rejoice and Be Glad Clear Stamps.  I also added some bling to it to make it even more elegant.

Here is what the Wild Romantic Roses clear stamp set looks like:

Well, hope you like the new stamp set and now it's time hop over to see what my design team mates have created.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Unity: You Decorate my Life

Hello, happy Friday to you all!  I am here today with a Unity cutie card and I wanted to participate in the Friends with Flair, which has been ages ago.  It's been so long since I touched my Unity stamps and this time I had to pick one up that I just purchased.  I should have played with the older ones, but this little one was waiting to be played with.  Anyway, this is my sweet and super talented friend, Angie Bloom's creation and it's called Decorate My Life.

This little image was yelling to be watercolored, so I whipped out my Spectrum Aqua Markers and painted this little cutie in.  I love how colorful this image is and that sentiment is just a perfect little addition.

Well, that is it for today.  Hope you like this little card as much as I do.

Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend.  As for me, I am going to a bead show tomorrow, as what do you know?  I picked up a new hobby, making jewelry and I MUST attend the show.  I will share my pieces with you next week.  Till than, have a fabulous weekend!

MFT Sketch Challenge #216

Hi there....hope you are having a great week!  I just got back from a 4 day crafty retreat which was fabulous and boy, did I create my heart out!  I have cards to show you for a few days for sure and some other things, too.  I won't share them all at once, but I am starting out with a sweet card using last week's MFT Card Challenge's sketch# 216.

Here is what I came up using the sketch and yes, I always elaborate a little more...LOL

On this card I used two of Mona Pendleton's stamps, however they are not on the My Favorite Things site any more, so they might not be sold any longer.  They are a roses and a butterfly set.  I used dye based ink to stamp my flowers, however I went back with my brush and did some watercoloring with the ink. I used Spectrum Aqua Markers which I am loving very much.  I also painted around the flowers as well.

I guess there is one My Favorite Things item I can link here, which is my doily.

Well, hope you like what you see.  I sure had a super duper fun time creating it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Reverse Confetti: Perfect for Each Other

Hello I am back with another Valentine's Day card.  This time is a card I made for Michael....ssssshhhhh...don't tell him...LOL.  Since we got our pups over a year ago, so much happened.  So much love and so much work that is involved having these little babies in our lives, so I thought it would be fun to create a card with them in it sort of.

So I ran into Jen Del Muro, who owns Reverse Confetti during CHA and she gifted me this adorable little set that was just perfect for the occasion.  It's called Puppy appropriate, right?  Anyway here is what I made.

While I was looking at the Reverse Confetti shop I thought I would order some dies to go with my stamps and so I used Triple Chevies Confetti Cuts and the Tag Me Too Confetti Cuts dies.  To add more pizzazz to my card I added some gold foil paper.  My little puppies were water colored and I tried to kind of match Roxy and Zeus.

Anyway, here is another picture of my card.

Here is what the adorable Puppy Love set looks like, in case you need them in your life. Too cute, right?  I will have a card coming up with another set from Reverse Confetti, which I am in love with called Love Blooms.  I am going to a retreat next week, so I will be posting things created while I was gone.

Well, thank you for taking a peek at my blog and wishing you a beautiful day!

My Favorite Things: I Love you

Hi there!  Today I have a card to share with you using My Favorite Things goodies.  A couple of weeks ago my sweet friend Lisa Henke and I were chatting on Facebook and we challenged each other to pull out our My Favorite Things stamps and put them to good use.

And since I love challenges, I decided to play in this weeks MFT sketch challenge and here is my rendition of it although I elaborated a little more on it...LOL

First off to color my little Pure Innocence I first black embossed my image onto water color paper, because I wanted to use my new Spectrum Aqua Markers by Crafter's Companion.  These goodies just arrived to my house on Tuesday and I had to play with them right away and I am pretty happy with the outcome.
To create this cute little card I used the following MFT supplies.

Border and doily are no longer available.
Paper is by My Minds Eye and gold glitter paper for the border

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

JustRite Papercraft: Best Wishes

Hello again. Today is the last day of our JustRite Papercraft's February release days.  Today we finish with more beautiful stamps.

I started my card by stamping my background stamp onto light blue card with light blue ink.  Than I die cut a label using Spellbinders A2 Tranquil Moments dies and stamped my sentiment onto it.  I stamped my beautiful flower image and colored it with Spectrum Noir Marker and added some cute pearls in the middle of my flowers.  I cut it out and placed it on top of my label.  Finally I added a pretty lace and seam binding ribbon.

Here is what the Best Wishes Clear set looks like.

And here is what the beautiful Bold Vines Background stamp looks like.

Before you go, I just want to shout out that we have two great sales happening now, which you might want to check out and pick out a few goodies.  They are ending tomorrow, so hurry up!!

And this

Hi there...happy Sunday!  Welcome back as we continue our JustRite Papercraft's February release!

Today I have two beautiful sets to showcase here.  One is called Wishing You Rainbows Sentiments set and the Celtic Knot Background stamp.

I stamped the background stamp onto cream color yardstick with a light pink ink and cut it into a square shape.

I stamped my sentiment onto a cream card stock and die cut it with Spellbinders Circle dies. I also used quite a few Cheery Lynn dies on this card, which were the doily and the pretty flowers.  Here is the list of them:

My patterned papers are by K & Company.  Finally I stamped the butterfly onto the patterned paper and cut it out.

Here is what the beautiful Wishing You Rainbows Sentiment set looks like:

And here is what the Celtic Knot Background stamp looks like.

Hope you like this card, which I am entering into Cheery Lynn's DT call as I sure love their dies and also this week's challenge called Tickled Pink, by adding the pretty pinks. And for now please rush over to my design team mates blogs to check out what they created with these stamp sets.

Thanks for stopping by and wishing you a fabulous Sunday!

JustRite Papercraft: Whisper of Wings

Hello and welcome back to our second day of JustRite Papercraft's February release.  I am back with a super colorful card today.

Today we are showcasing a beautiful stamp set, called Whisper of Wings Clear stamp set and Honeycomb Cling Background stamp

I had a lot of fun making this card.  I white embossed the background stamp onto white water color paper and painted it in with water colors. Than I black embossed the feathers onto water color paper and once again I added water color to it to bring the feather colors out.

The layout of this card came from Splitcoaststampers TLC519 challenge, which is the newest Technique Lovers challenge titled The Sentiment Down Under.

Here is what the Whisper of Wings Clear stamp set looks like.  You may see that there is even a sentiment in this set by one of our design team mates Heidi Blankenship. Although I didn't use it on my card, I LOVE that quote. Well done Heidi!  Love this set!!!

And here is what the Honeycomb Cling Background stamp looks like:

And now it's time to check out what my design team mates have created with these stamps:

Thanks for visiting and as always have a beautiful day!
